WEST SPACE RAFFLE *Win a Website*

To help promote the work of artists, writers and all arts workers, West Space is offering the chance to win one of three fabulous websites each worth $1300, built on the Indexhibit platform, personally designed for you by Stuart Geddes of Chase and Galley, Aaron Moodie of  The Union Graphic and Brad Haylock.

Tickets are $10 and there are only 500 of them.

Why buy a ticket?

 

West Space's support of diverse, challenging, experimental and exploratory artistic practices requires a diversity of funding sources and support from our community and our community's community. Like most artist run initiatives West Space has been hit hard by rising rents and irregular government support this year and needs extra help to stay afloat.

  • Artists / writers / performers / curators: There are no exclusions on who can enter – buy as many tickets as you like for yourself and ask your friends and family to buy tickets on your behalf.
  • Art lovers: Consider buying a ticket or two for anyone you think needs a website*. Think of it as a gift for them and for West Space – operating since 1993 for the love of art.

 

The West Space Raffle will be drawn on Saturday 12 December 2009 at the A4 closing night party.

Website Design Package
The three websites will be built on the Indexhibit platform, a basic Content Management System (CMS). This means that you will have a range of pre-determined choices in the way that images and text are displayed, and the site navigation works on a fixed system.

The designers will help you to register a domain and organise web hosting, install the indexhibit CMS on your host server, then work with you to choose colours and make typographic decisions. The designer will also train you to use the CMS so that you can continue to update your site.

You will need the images of your work that you want on the site, any text you want to accompany your work.

As part of the prize West Space will pay for the site hosting costs for the first year.
