Three contemporary drawing practitioners turned The West Wing into a room-sized drawing. Conflating individual techniques while using the space as a laboratory to investigate the Ways and Means of contemporary drawing practice. The drawing emanated from the architecture it inhabits and responded to the gestures of each collaborating artist’s marks. The West Wing became both studio and artwork, and visitors to the space were able to look through and see the work evolve. The predominately unscripted image slowly revealed itself towards the end of the collaborative residency.
