As part of this year's Liquid Architecture 9, Eamon Sprod and Camilla Hannan will inhabit and migrate between all three gallery spaces at West Space for a vacuum #1.

vacuum #1 is envisaged as an ongoing and mutating experience of sonic exploration between Sprod and Hannan and invited artists Anthea Caddy, Ryan Cockburn, Matthew Davis, Carl Priestly, Cedric Peyronnet, and Thembi Soddell.

Drawing upon the participant’s varied and multidisciplinary practices in sound, performance and installation, vacuum #1 aims to step outside the confine of a concert hall to push and pummel the many possibilities of sound performance and construction. vacuum #1 delves into the psyche of performer and audience and pulls apart the constraints of both resulting in an immersive sonic experience.

Audience members are invited to participate by bringing found objects, collected en route to West Space to become part of the evolving performances of vacuum #1.

Performances are continuous over the four days at West Space between 12 – 7pm (Wednesday to Friday) and 12 – 5pm on Saturday. For details of guest appearances and information about Liquid Architecture 9, please visit www.liquidarchitecture.org.au.
