The Human Sundial Project: (Travelling through time and space while standing still)
Zoe Scoglio
8 Feb → 18 Feb 2012

The Human Sundial Project by Zoe Scoglio is a two week residency and part of her ongoing investigation into our society’s shifting relationships with geological substances. It is a series of informal provocations and workshops that will contribute to a human/rock themed database and features investigations in how to best travel through time and space while standing still and other activities that play with the varied ways we engage with and understand the rock upon which we live. If you are interested in being involved, please visit Zoe in the Back Space at West Space on either Wednesday 15 or Friday 17 February from 3 until 6pm or contact her on zoe [at] zoescoglio [dot] com.

Zoe Scoglio is a cross-disciplinary artist from Melbourne who creates work for public, performance-based and site-specific outcomes. Her work often utilises analogue techniques and stagecraft with digital technologies to create environments that bring together equal parts mysticism, formal inventiveness and eccentric humour. Zoe currently finds inspiration in rocks, transformation and the varied relationship humans have with the natural environment.
