Statistical Clairvoyance
Charles O'Loughlin
28 Oct → 19 Nov 2011

Since January 2007, Charles O’Loughlin employed the processes of statistical discourse to record, archive and inventory the demands of daily life – essentially, a documentation of social interactions and movements. Extracted from the everyday, this data was condensed to statistics and spreadsheets, then communicated through graphs. Coloured lines replace the humanity of existence – producing singularity and meaning from the otherwise chaotic mess of daily life. Using the process of statistical forecasting, O’Loughlin had predicted his social movements, interactions and locations for the next three years.
