The reservoir is a unique, variable place. Rigid, modern architecture and structures are set in contrast to natural elements. These elements, being controlled, provide a harmonious environment capable of producing ambience and, most importantly, function that serves the people of our cities and communities with clean water for survival. An emphasis is placed here on the recognition of the reservoir complex as a place for philosophical ‘elevation’ leading to a cause for local and/or universal ‘celebration’, this act remains open to being either realistically proposed or fictitious in concept.

Brad Bardon graduated form VCA Painting in 2001. The reservoir has been an ongoing study through several recent exhibitions. He works primarily with acrylic on MDF board utilizing an airbrush with stencil techniques. Rendered in spray paint are images that illustrate shifting forms with resonating effect.
