Peace, Love and BBC World
James Deutsher
17 Nov → 2 Dec 2006

It’s about the life, the world and what lies beyond. A way of making sense of the world on an inward and collective level, about the together-ness of things and the distance between things. It stands as some symbolic idea of the way the world exists, open and free, full of tyranny and coke and possibilities and the amazing writings of Wang Xiaobo. It’s not about making a definitive statement, but meditations on the logic of the universe and the individual and everything in between.

Born in California, James Deutsher lives in Melbourne. He studied at the VCA and has exhibited in various group and solo shows, showed at CLUBS projects and with Hao Guo and p-10 curatorial team in Singapore for the exhibition, ‘GOT NO PUPPAMUMMA’ . He is represented by Joint Hassles Gallery, loves Liv Barrett and plays football, waters his plants and searches the internet most days.
