“Orbit”

Orbit is a revolving wall set on a central pivot that explores qualities of light, space and motion. A generic plasterboard wall, other than it moves. Motion undermines the architecture seeking an idea of vertigo. The room becomes a machine.

Simon Terrill began working in the theatre as co-founder of Snuff Puppets, studied and exhibited sculpture and installations and has more recently been working with video and photography. Currently, he is working on a series of crowd scene photographs in various locations around Melbourne, lecturing at the Centre for Ideas, VCA, and undertaking a Masters by Research at the VCA.
