There were plenty of plants, trees, flowers and peasants to look at, and all of them were fabricated. They played out a tension between, on the one hand, things utopian, constructed and artificial, and on the other, nature’s dense, rambling and dirty wildness.

Vivienne Miller is a Visual Arts graduate from the University of South Australia and a founding member of Downtown Art Space, Adelaide. She makes paintings and drawings.
