In Wells’ carefully constructed environments female protagonists inflict upon themselves tests of physical and psychological endurance. The choreography of the work switches from natural to artificial forms, often exploring the fine line between creation and destruction.

Kellie Wells is a Melbourne-based artist who creates work across a range of media. Having completing a Bachelor of Arts (political science) at the University of Tasmania and a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Victorian College of the Arts, Wells has enjoyed a highly varied employed life from mines to music and had her work exhibited throughout Asia, Tasmania, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
