I Spy (The Start of Something) is an exhibition designed to explore the work and inspiration of five Melbourne-based designers, each of whom is recognized for their innovation and originality. Obus, Schwipe, Claude Maus, Julia Deville and Christian Bumbarra Thompson are the participating designers in the project. A major component of the exhibition is a series of image projections which reflect the events, people and stimuli that inspire the artists in creating their work. Using mobile phone cameras the designers have quickly snapped and recorded small moments, a sight, a sound, a feeling; the start of something….The image projections will be contextualized by various objects and ancillary media representing the output of the various designers.

I Spy (The Start Of Something) is curated by High Level Talks . Comprising Chimere Cisse and Simon Winkler, High Level Talks is a collective exploring various avenues of creative expression; it attempts to create conversations for positive change in the arts and society in general.
