“Following the White Rabbit”

A new work by Jaki Middleton, Following the White Rabbit is a two-part installation that combines kinetic sculpture and moving image. The work engages with notions of certainty and ways of seeing, focusing on the link between how we see and what we believe. In one part of the work, a rabbit bounds through a green open field, in the other the rabbit is going nowhere. It’s the same rabbit, just seen in two different ways.

Jaki is a Sydney based artist and co-editor of the artist-run magazine runway. She completed a MVA at Sydney College of the Arts in 2005. Recent exhibitions include Dream Machine ; the Firstdraft Container of Next Wave’s Containers Project in Melbourne and Stars of track and Field at Campbelltown Arts Centre, NSW.
