Cabin Fever

Lauren Cross, Lewis Gallagher & Andre Liew

25 April – 17 May, opens Thursday 24 April, 6 – 8pm

Artist Talk Thursday 15 May, 12.30 – 1.30pm

Cabin Fever explores the nature of seclusion and psychological disconnection associated with time spent in an isolated environment. After travelling to a remote area of the west coast of Tasmania, the artists negotiate the complexity of working in isolation from each other on something that will ultimately exist in singularity. Drawing from literary works of authors such as Murakami and Borges, the space describes narratives of the longing for 'something' as well as the inevitable loss that occurs from longing anything.

Lauren Cross, Lewis Gallagher & Andre Liew are Melbourne-based artists. With backgrounds in drawing, painting and sculpture, the artists working collaboratively on this project.
