Sean Bailey’s approach to art reflects his involvement in the hand/home made and the immediate nature of the DIY aesthetic. From misshapen, seemingly thrown together sculptures, installations, collages and drawings to hand made cassettes and records, Sean creates art that explores the sub-currents that flow beneath the ground of consumption and conditioning. Sean’s fantastical aesthetic and immediate approach to artmaking explore the hidden energy of things, and the desire to incite transformations of conditioning and reality.

Sean Bailey is a recent graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts painting department. He has shown most recently at Seventh, T.C.B and Clubs. He runs Inverted Crux, a cassette and cdr label that releases music made by himself and his friends.
