A special Friday night series of textscore performances
Francis Plagne
27 July → 17 Aug 2012

Ever since the exigencies of live performance transformed it from a solitary activity to a live band, Francis Plagne’s nebulous out-pop project has been marked by the collaboration of musicians, both established and emerging, who are equally at home within pop and experimental contexts. This concert series, organised with longtime collaborator Joe Talia, focuses on various projects and configurations of musicians involved in the Francis Plagne Band (from a solo guitar recital to a full band set), alongside presenting performances from a host of friends and collaborators from the Melbourne experimental and fringe-indie worlds, which will range from precise micro-sonics to blaring free jazz.
